Regal Lily Wildflowers of the South Limited Edition Collector Plate

"Wildflowers of the South" limited edition collector plates was an official issue by Southern Living Gallery and The United States Historical Society. The series consisted of 12 plates produced by Royal Windsor in 1981 depicting the paintings by artist Ralph Mark. The plate number is 3713 of a limited edition of 19,200 plates. Each plate is rimmed in gold and has the artist signature on the front. This particular plate is number 9 in the series and is titled "Regal Lily." In addition to the beautiful flowers in the foreground, there is a red woodpecker on a tree. The plate measures 9.25" in diameter. The plate is in excellent condition except for four teeny nicks to the paint in the background about a half inch above the woodpecker's head. They blend well with the painting, so are not noticeable unless you are feeling the surface of the plate. Unfortunately, there is no box or paperwork, thus the discounted price.
