Antique Furniture. Fabulous American Classical Empire dressing bureau or chest of drawers with mirror. This piece is a beauty. This 19th century piece has great style and nice detail. Made of mahogany and a fabulous flame mahogany veneer. Original finish. Beautiful patina. Superb highly stylized carved paw feet. Nice Corinthian columns. Acorn finials. The mirror supports are doweled in place. All hand-dovetailed, square nail construction. Condition is very good. There are a few repairs to the veneers(nothing major and typical for a piece of this age). The interior drawer runners have been replace, so the drawers operate smoothly. Lock missing on one drawer. Knobs replaced. Some scratches and dings appropriate for a piece of this age. Appearance is excellent. The last picture shows the hand tool marks on the back of the paw feet.
