Staffordshire Transferware. Great early medium to dark blue transfer plate with an American View. The view is called "Boston State House". This was made by Rogers. Marked with an impressed ROGERS. This plate dates back to the 1820s to circa 1825. Wonderful scene with cows and farming on the Boston Common facing toward the Boston State House. Condition is excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The plate is nice and clean with little or no wear. Excellent example, and hard to find size, on this collectible American view. Measures about 7 1/2" in diameter.
