Staffordshire Transferware. Fabulous early 2 color transfer plate. The pattern is called "Railway". This was made by Enoch Wood and Sons. Marked with a printed pattern and makers mark. This plate dates to the 1830s to circa 1835. This pattern is a very collectible pattern due to the early railroad view of a train. What even makes this better is it is a scarce early two color transfer with an outer border in red and central view is green. The condition is very good to excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. There is little if any wear. There is some very minor overall toning, mentioned for complete accuracy. Great early plate for the transferware collector or train enthusiast. Measures about 9 1/4" in diameter.
