SOLD 1820s American View Blue Transferware Plate
Staffordshire Transferware. Beautiful early medium blue historical blue transfer plate. The pattern is called "The Landing of the Fathers at Plymouth Rock" by Enoch Wood and Sons (1818-1846). Marked with an impressed Wood crown mark. This plate dates to the 1820s at circa 1825. Look at the pictures to see the great detail on this early plate. The border has medallions with ships and the inscriptions, "America Independent July 4 1776," and "Washington Born 1732, Died 1799". Condition is excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Nice and clean with little or no wear. I don't even see any crazing. Beautiful example. Measures about 10 1/4" in diameter.
