1820s Monumental 21" Transferware Platter by Spode

Staffordshire Transferware. You don't find them much better than this. Monumental 21" transferware platter in fabulous condition. The platter was made by Spode in the 1820 - 1830 time period. Printed SPODE mark and impressed Spode. The platter dates circa 1825. Wonderful family coat of Arms as the central scene. The central view is brown transfer with a families Coat of Arms. The outer border also has blue flowers. Gadrooned edge with an inner rim gilded in gold. Top quality piece. Condition is excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The platter is nice and clean with little or no wear. This was used very little if at all. All of the Gold gilding is present. You do not find these early huge platters very often, especially in this condition. Fabulous and rare example. Measures about 21" long by 16 1/2" wide.
