Staffordshire Transferware. Incredible and very hard to find 1830s purple transfer flask, moon flask, or Pilgrim's flask. The pattern is called "Bird's Nest". Maker unknown. Unmarked. Circa 1830.Extremely rare form. The flask is in fairly good condition. There is a crack at the bottom of the neck on one side. The crack is very stable, but it follows the outer seam of the side of the flask most the way around. It does not appear to go all the way through. The body of the flask is solid and intact. The flask display beautifully just as it is. It is a perfect candidate for professional restoration, or display it just as it is. You rarely find this form on early transferware. You would have to look long and hard to find another. Measures about 8 1/2" tall.
