I respond to a sale within 2 days. I describe my items with as much detail as I can, and provide many pictures so you can make as informed a buying decision as possible. I am not a professional dealer or shop owner, my items are mostly personal ones owned by my family. I mail every day except Saturday and Sunday. I decided to expand to Ruby Lane because I already enjoyed spending time on the site perusing its lovely offerings.
The items I sell are primarily from the estate of my great aunt who lived a long and happy life traveling the planet in the shape of a diplomat. She bequeathed to me, along with photos of her laughing face in far away places, a house full of boxes. As I slowly unpack her treasures, I decide which ones to offer up for sale. I do not always know a great deal about each item, however I do make an effort to research those I offer up for sale.
I do not plan to keep most of her beautiful and interesting things, because I run an inner city program for the boy and girl diplomats of tomorrow, and they are in need of funds.
The memories of my aunt's happy life are financing my own, as one generation lives and dies to serve the next.
