SALE Vintage Baccarat Crystal Cadix Ashtray MINT with Box - 20th Century Made in France

This hand made clear lead crystal Baccarat dish features a quasi symmetrical shape with eight petal-like points that swirl out from its center. As versatile as it is beautiful, this hand blow bowl can be enjoyed and used for many practical purposes, including as a mint, candy or nut dish, pipe, cigar or cigarette ashtray, shallow flower vase, candle holder, vanity item, etc.

It is similar to one that appears in a 1959 Magazine advertisement. Just over 2” tall by 4” across and about 7” at its widest point, the boxed collectible is in MINT condition. This French mid century modern work of decorative art comes with its original red box (which is in good shape, yet shows some wear) and an insert that states:

This piece, triple signed Baccarat, is entirely fashioned by hand in the world’s purest crystal. Such a piece embodies the ultimate perfection in skilled craftsmanship.

Since 1764, Baccarat's artists and artisans have given free rein to their aesthetic sense. Their trained eye and movements are both dexterous and precise, producing the exquisite crystal for which Bacarrat has become famous worldwide.
