$13 USD Hallmark Designer Signed JJ 3" Figural Winged Angel and flowing hair in all her glory trumpeting the news. Little star dangles from the belly with aurora borealis faceted rhinestone in-depth 3D detailed in solid pewter. Perfect for Religious Christmas Time of the year---Hark the angels sing . From my personal collection originally purchased from Bergner's, Pekin IL Mall when the Artifacts line first came out. Since then the Mall had been torn down and replaced with a Strip Mall. The Artifacts line 1986 came on cards with Roman Numeral numbers showing the date. MCMLXXXVI is Roman Numeral Number for 1986. Excellent Condition vintage costume jewelry in solid pewter.

Research History – J.J. is the registered trademark for Jonette Jewelry Co. Starting in Providence RI in 1935 founded by Abraham Lisker, later changing the name to Lisker and Lisker. During WWII the firm discontinued production due to metal shortages brought on by the war and government restrictions. Since the 1970's, Gordon Lisker has been manufacturing jewelry although some work was farmed out to other companies. My personal favorites are the 1970s to early 1980s Artifacts 1986 line substantial sturdy pewter pieces in-depth detailed work. Artifacts cards with no Roman Numeral Date were from later date than 1986. J.J. mark was used starting 1970. Since they are out of business those pieces are quite collectible with values expected to continually climb.
