Art Nouveau Brass and Rhinestone Dress Clip Pair

This gorgeous set of dress clips was more than likely made in Czechoslovakia. Even though they are unmarked, they bear many of the style elements of Czech jewelry. The brass stamping has great detail and beautiful workmanship. The center clear unfoiled rhinestones are of the finest, clear glass. The blue of the rhinestones just doesn't show as well as I would like. Think of the blue crystal clear ocean in those romantic getaway advertisements. This is that color of blue.

The clips each measure about 1½ inches in length and 1¼ inches wide. They have a floral band arch across the top with three leaves dropping from the center rhinestone. The leaves are folded over gorgeous scroll work in an open heart design.

The dress clip mechanism is in tight working condition. All four barbs are present, accounted for and sharp. There is light discoloration to the clip part of the mechanisms. The single clip shown also shows light chipping to the rhinestone. It is along the edges and does not detract from the overall appearance of the piece. The other clip has a couple of very small chips but it can barely be seen.

These are a great vintage set of clips which are ready to wear and show off!
