Staffordshire England
c. 1876
This Victorian aesthetic 9 3/4 " wide x 4 3/4 " tall covered serving piece is transfer printed in chocolate brown. Very rare to find this pattern in this color.
The clear and crisp NANTUSKET pattern features a marine border of Seashells and Seaweed hooked together by strands of pearls. Nestled in the well of the plate are a variety of seashells with sprigs of seaweed as the backdrop. Stunning pattern. Moulded fish scale handles. The pattern displays the victorian eras love of nature.
Condition is EXCELLENT, appear to have never been used or handled. Clean shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. Normal stilt marks.
