PERAK PATTERN
James Beech, Swan Bank Works Pottery
Staffordshire England ~ c. 1885
This large victorian aesthetic 16 " wide x 12 7/8 " wide plater is transfer printed in dark chocolate brown.
The clear and crisp PERAK pattern features fabulous cartouches of sailboat on a mountain lake and one of quiet secretive buildings hidden in the landscape. All surrounded by flowers and leaves and sunbursts. Wonderful geometric designs along the rim complete this great platter. A rare aesthetic find for the collector.
The pattern displays the victorian eras love of nature and travel to exotic lands.
Condition is excellent. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. A tiny kiln kiss along the edge for complete accuracy.
