This large Victorian transferware aesthetic biscuit jar measure 5 " in diameter and 5 1/2 " tall. The lifter or biscuit plate is 7 1/4 " in diameter.
The transfer printed pattern features wonderful strong imari style coloring under glaze on earthenware with an abundance of flowers, geometric designs and Japanesque turquoise fans. All very vivid with highlights in gold lustre.
Condition is excellent. Clean and bright, appears to have never been used. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no utensil marks and no repairs.
