ALBION PATTERN
John and William Ridgway Potteries
Staffordshire, England 1814 - 1837
This outstanding and very interestingly designed early soup plate measures 10 1/4 " in diameter and is crisply transfer printed in a black with a pearlware glaze.
The piece has a wonderful scalloped edge along with half flowers filling each part of the scallop. Intricate netting and lacing cascade to the central image of a spectacular flower bouquet. Ridgway Pottery at its best.
The piece displays beautifully and is in EXCELLENT condition. No chips, no cracks and no repairs. Very clean shiny and bright.
