Dating to c.1820-1830, this fabulous pair of earrings are truly beautiful, and make a grand statement! I usually frown on "marriages" in antique jewelry, but this is a very rare exception! Over 180 years ago, these jewels began life as a pair of matching bracelet clasps. Over the years, the locking mechanisms either were broken or went missing, as there is a slot in the side of each of the earrings that shows the tab for the finding.
