Collector Plate Titled "The Landing" First Issue In Series

This item is a first in series collector plate from Dominion China titled, "The Landing" sponsored by the Canadian Wildlife Foundation. The plate is was issued in 1986 and measures 13/16" deep at the gold trimmed rim by 8 5/8" in diameter. The central decoration depicts a dozen Canadian geese coming in for a landing on a smooth body of water with a forest in the background and rushes in the foreground. The plate is number 6573D with a Bradex no. 8-D52-1 1, and was designed by artist Donald Pentz, with text on the reverse in English and French.
