This item is an early piece of trade porcelain, with the original import paper identification sticker (2104-9) on the bottom. The vase stands six inches tall and is two and five eighthes inches across at its widest point. The overall color of the piece is dark blue and all decoration is highlighted in gold. The front panel depicts a mother and daughter in traditional dress, with trees and a mountain in the background. Both sides are decorated with stylized flowers. The back panel is decorated with an adult female in traditional clothing in the foreground and some elevated decorative shrubs in the background. The piece has some crazing and at one point was drilled to make a lamp. The piece has been appraised between $650 to $700 dollars, but the hole will detract about 40% of that. The hole can be repaired and that will bring the value up, other than that there are no flaws in the piece. The vase has a great amount of eye appeal and would make a good addition to a trade porcelain collection. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or to make an offer.
