This Victorian ring is set in 18K yellow Gold. The ring holds One Citrine and 13 rose cut diamonds. We do not have the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cut diamonds. All diamond weights, color grades and clarity are approximate since the stones were not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting. A variety of quartz that is crystalline and usually yellow but sometimes red-brown to red-orange. It is uncommon in nature; most yellow stones sold as citrine are smoky quartz or amethyst that have had the colour changed by heat treatment. The name 'citrine' is derived from the French word citron (lemon), the colour that it usually exhibits.

Originally the term "Victorian jewels" was designated for articles of jewelry made in the United Kingdom during the reign of Queen Victoria, but not all of the many varieties produced during her long reign, 1837-1901, are now generally classified as Victorian jewels.
