Hand decorated Oriental style pheasants perch on their branches to better see the lovey bouquets of roses in the garden. Transferware plate is enhanced with handpainting to give it an extra touch of elegance from a bygone era. The scrolling, pheasants and flowers have all been given the artists blessing. Made by the Bishop & Stonier Pottery Co. from Hanley England, the markings on the back indicate a date from 1890 to 1932. Plate measures 9 1/2" in diameter. No cracks or chips, but does have age crazing.
