Late 18th Century Silver on Copper Tea Urn

Passed down from generation to generation, this lovely tea urn has stayed in the family since the late 1700's. Per their family history it is attributed to Sheffield, but has no marks to indicate the maker. Classical design with elegant beading for accents. Handles and spout are decorated with an acanthus leaf. Wooden spout tab is shaped like a cockade. Beautiful patina with just the right amount of desirous copper bleed through. Some slight scratches and a few pinpoint dings. The wooden tab does have an age crack. There is a solder repair to one handle. Stands 14" (35cm) tall and 7" (18cm) at widest point.
