We are pleased to be offering today this most unusual teak drop down step back secretary bookcase desk that we have seen. We are not used to handling much modern day furniture. This probably dates from the 1960s. It is in the medium amber color that everyone seems to like. It has a step back bookcase top with a light on top. The light is from overseas, so I am sure that it will have to be re-wired for US standards. It is a nice looking unit with storage space on top. It has a drop down lid that opens to expose a dove tail cubby hole interior with plenty of writing surface. There is a unit underneath that would remind me of putting a stereo system in, but most likely it is a bookshelf. Then there are two beautiful four panel doors that are trimmed out in walnut frames. It comes with the original key.

The overall size is 40.5 inches wide, 10.5 inches deep on top, 18 inches deep on the base and 76 inches high. The extra large drop down lid is supported by two heavy duty brackets and is 29 inches high from the floor. The unit does lock. The space underneath the drop down lid is 39 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 8 inches high. The step out compartment underneath has a tag inside that says Nathan Furniture. It is a great looking item. It has just minor little nicks and dings.
