We are pleased to be offering this beautiful Victorian walnut marble top drop center chest that dates from the 1880's. It is a great looking chest that has been completely stripped and refinished in our professional restoration shop in a medium walnut stain finish. New period style rolling pin hardware has been installed, and it has been antiqued so it does not look new and they are very expensive reproductions. The glass has been replaced to be sure it is all perfect. Some work has been done to the center crest on the top and the boys in the refinishing shop did not color the backing correctly, but it all blends in the front. It has two candle shelves on the beautiful mirrored back with raised walnut panels, triple pieces of white marble with bevel edges on the two outside edges and four small dovetail drawers on the top and two large ones on the base. The overall size is 44" wide x 18.5" deep x 31" high to the marble on the outside edges x 22" high to the marble in the drop center x 82" high to the top of the mirror.
