New items added each week - Sit back with a cool drink and browse to your heart's content....
First is a hand held strainer. Designed so you can hold it over a bowl and strain while pouring - this is a great old primitive tin piece with a nice hole at the top for hanging. Strainer measures approx. 6 inches from handle to bottom and 5 3/4 inches across.
Next is a little metal cup with 2 handles on the side. It has a handled strainer piece that can be pulled out. I imagine maybe there were originally different sized strainers that could be interchanged. This piece measures 2 1/4 inches high and 3 inches in diameter.
The last item appears to be a funnel. The bottom part screws off and again - I think it was designed so you could replace the bottom with a strainer screen. This item measures 3 1/4 inches tall, 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the top and 2 inches in diameter at the bottom. Handle adds another 4 inches.
All 3 items have just the right amount of wear and rust to give them that really old patina that looks so nice. For decor - this set would make a wonderful addition to a primitve kitchen collection and would look just as "at home" by the fireplace.
Each piece has some rust and the dings and dents that come with age. Plus each was primitively made. Structurally these are all sound and I suppose if cleaned sufficiently could be used for their original kitchen purposes.
