Vintage Hickok Hunting Dog Head Collar Tie Clip Bar

Made by the quality menswear accessory maker, Hickok, this gold-toned tie clip with a hunting dog's head on one end, and a belt-style collar is estimated to be from the 1940s.

This is 2 and 7/16" from end to tip of the nose, it is about 3/8" at it's widest. We think it looks a bit like a Pointer, of some sort ~

Has a sawtooth clip that holds securely. Hickok USA is on the back. This has a bit of scratching on the front; it could be sanded and new gilt applied, but we are selling as is for authenticity's sake.

Tie bars came into popularity in the 1920's; dog themes particularly emerged in the 1940s.

These (dog-themed accessories) go quickly, and are very good for gift-giving for the avid dog collector, or tie-clip collector.
