Vintage 925 Sterling Silver Filigree Band Ring with Dark Red Setting

This looks like silver that we used to import from Celuk on the Island of Bali...the curlicue design surrounding the center mount with dark red setting (although often these were garnets, this may be red glass, instead) and the tiny dot design above and below the set indicate possible origins from Indonesia (late 1980s).

This is stamped 925 on the inside. The design lines actually feature a triple band look to the back (5/16" wide), tapering slightly out (7/16" wide) to a rounded, almost dome-like front shape. And this sits right at 8 and 1/4 on our ring sizer.

The setting itself measures 1/4" by 3/16", and as you can see in the photographs, there are slight imperfections along its face.

This is a very attractive ring; lots of surfer girls used to wear these, some guys would wear them on their outside finger (aka pinky rings). We also have friends on Maui who have matching ones that they've used as their wedding bands.
