SOLD Vintage Oval Carnelian Cabochon Ring

Here is an amazing ring with a gorgeous, deep carnelian cabochon with a dramatic sawtooth setting.

It is 7/8" by 3/4" wide; many would consider this a men's ring, however they make excellent middle or index rings for a woman, as well.

This is marked J B on the back, with an impressed 6 petal flower above and below the initials. There is no 925 mark, however we're quite positive this is sterling.

We estimate this to be from at least the 1970s, although the wing shaped side panels and lack of silver mark indicate it could be from much earlier, possibly the 1940s.

Wonderful ring, great setting, terrific size 7.
