Warm fall days and crisp autumn evenings go perfectly with rich vintage copper chokers, bracelets, pins & earrings!
It is about 1.5" at its widest, about 2 and 1/8" from top to bottom with an attached 1/4" wide loop (which adds an additional 3/8" in length) at the top. It is about 5/16" deep.
The back has a logo marked "Sterling" and "Handwrought by Wendt", with Wendt being inside a triangular shape.
We were told this was a brown turquoise, however we have found that would often mean it is actually howlite. The polished stone is gray, white and ocher-brown-esche in tone.
This is a marvelous piece; the beading around the set is about 1/8" thick, and therefore quite dramatic. At the top there are double vertical stripes etched into the silver on each side of the loop opening which lends a sleek modern look to the piece.

It has been suggested that this may have been designed by Ove Wendt (born 1907), who maintained his own workshop beginning in 1959, and who worked with Andreas Mikkelsen from 1970 to 1978; he subsequently designed for Georg Jensen.
