This is an amazing pin of beautifully scrolled and beaded filigree work, composed of five petal flowers, and paisley turned crests, with an almost Maltese cross look center work. Here is a beautiful pin that looks like something that Mucha would have created! There is no marking or signature on this pin, and it polished up quite nicely with a bit of simichrome (see before/after photos). There is a clear prong set stone in the center of the flower, it appears somewhat crudely cut, like an eight-cut top almost, but i have not had it appraised, and i don't have a jeweler's loupe (yet). It is, however, a gorgeous, classic pin. Measures one and 3/8" by 5/8".

This is my favorite of the mosaics that we just acquired. Stamped on the back simply "ITALY", this has an amazing combination of color, shapes and materials. Tiny skinny tubes of white with black lines are in the corners, millefiori pieces dot the sides and are set into tiny bits of twisted rope motif metal. A fabulous collectible, outstanding worn alone, or grouped with other fun mosaics. Measures about one and 3/8" across by about one and 1/16" high.

Here's a pretty gold-tone pin from Sarah Coventry of a double rope-twist circle with a branch of textured leaves, a "flower pearl" in an 8-prong setting, and a wedge of sage green jade secured with a double prong set.
