We love these little droplets of amber colored nuggets that each have a tiny silver toned stud drilled through them, and are attached first to a circle of silver and then linked to another, and then hang from a somewhat primitive looking triangular clip on post, dating these to the 1940s, or possibly earlier. We've never seen clasps like these: they are a shaped gold wire, twisted to hold the delicate chain and bent at the tip to form a decorative loop for the screw-back to gently hold the earring at the ear. The translucent yellow ball has a couple of hand painted green swirls adding a nice contrast and pretty accent. There are ridged gold toned braces on each end of the ball, as well. A very pretty pair of earrings; these are about 2 and 1/8" inch long; the ball is about 5/8" across.
