Migliaro is a highly regarded Neapolitan genre artist well-known by his paintings of lively scenes of Italian street life. This painting is signed on the lower right in black "V. Migliaro, Roma" and comes in a fine, elaborate Rococo-style gilt frame. Migliaro is listed in Benezit (Dictionnaire des Peintres, Sculpteurs, Dessinateurs et Graveurs) where details of his work appear. He was a student of Domenico Morelli and Stanislao Lista. Migliaro's paintings have sold in Christie's, Sotheby's, Finarte and other first-rate auction houses. A record was set in December 2004 when his painting "Seduzione" sold for 180.000 euros in his hometown of Naples (Napoli).
