Elegant English sterling silver teapot made in 1862 by Birmingham silversmith T. P. & S (Thomas Prime & Son). It is decorated with engraved oval cartouches on both sides of the body, both without monograms, and stands on four decorative feet. The pot has a built in double colander, all three pieces are hallmarked with the lion passant which certifies it is made of sterling silver. The base of the pot also has the silversmiths' initials and the capital, serifed letter N used in 1862. In very good used condition with minor imperfections as shown.
