Extraordinary pendant signed Erté entitled “Aventurine (state II).” It marked CFA 14K and numbered 53/250. It is made out of 14K gold, mother-of-pearl, lapis lazuli, sapphires and hangs from a 14 K gold grecian scroll chain. Erte (1892-1990) was the artistic name of Romain de Tirtoff, an extraordinary Russian-born designer best known for his Art Deco designs applied to couture, sculpture, jewelry, and illustration. His work is part of the collection of major museums including the Metropolitan, Smithsonian Institution, and the Victoria & Albert. In very good condition as shown.
