Color Engraving Le Billet Doux - c. 18th Century, France

Color engraving after N. Lavreince by N. De Launay. Extensive text in French (see photos). Nicolas de Launay (1739-1792) was an 18th Century Paris-born engraver. This particular engraving, Le Billet Doux, is famous for it's faithful depiction of a Louis XVI, 18th Century interior. In very good condition with toning consistent with age as shown.
