Beautiful color engraving entitled "L'Escalade ou Les Adieux du Matin" by Debucourt. It is signed and dated on the plate. The text on the page reads as follows: Peint et Gravee par De Bucourt peintre du Roy, 1787, L'Escalade ou Les Adieux du Matin. Philibert Louis Debucourt (1755-1832) was a French genre artist who started out as a painter but later devoted himself to engravings and aquatints. His early works, such as this one, are particulary good at capturing French elegance and charm and are very much in demand. It is stamped on the reverse lower right corner Made in France.
