It is marked on the underside with a Kangxi mark and two concentric circles. The boys-at-play motif decoration in Chinese art is a symbol of male progeny and represent the wish of numerous offspring. Unusual Chinese export porcelain polychrome plate decorated with18th Century western figures of a lady, gentleman and small boy standing under a tree. Based on its overall appearance and provenance it is most likely Dutch decorated. The coloring is consistent with Famille Verte porcelain of the 1730's and includes green, yellow and purple enamels.
