Vintage 60's Walborg Italian White Patent Envelope Clutch Bag Purse, Oversized!

Wow--this bag is unlike any Walborg I've ever seen--nothing even remotely like it on the web, or in any shop I've been. I rarely use the term "rare" (LOL), but in this case, I will--this one is rare! I date it to the late 60s or early 70s. Perfect for summer parties, day or night. Made in Italy of white faux patent leather, this oversized clutch has a scalloped-edge flap with metallic silver embroidery-thread edging, trim, and medallions. These elements appear to have been hand woven and threaded. The flap is hand-stitched to the lining. Interior is soft taffeta and has one open pocket. Pleated sides for added roominess and snap closure. Measures 13 1/2" W x 6 1/2" H x 1 1/2" D.

Condition: Excellent overall. Note the line of discoloration on the back, about 1 1/2" long. Surface is not scuffed, so I don't know what this is; I wouldn't try removing it. Also two smaller, thinner like lines at bottom, but these are more typical & not a real issue. There's a slight wrinkle or indentation on the back, probably from having something heavy laid on it. You often find this in vintage bags--they've been stored with other stuff on top of them, and pock marks/indents/wrinkles result. Because these marks are on the back of the bag, they aren't noticeable when it's being carried. Interior is exceptionally clean but for some age discoloration around the edges. I've cleaned this well, and it's ready to use on arrival!
