A rare find! This is a set of 6 mid-century (50s/60s) Taylorton bread & butter plates in the blue and grey "Masterpiece" pattern with platinum-trimmed edges. Taylorton was the line created by John Gilkes, design director for T S & T for much of the mid-century era, whose shapes, colors, and designs exemplify "retro modern." A great addition to an existing dinnerware collection, they are also, at 6 1/4" in diameter, great as standalone luncheon, salad, or dessert plates.
Four are In excellent to near-mint condition, with little to no wear. Two have some noticeable utensiling in the centers, but no cracks, hairlines, nicks, or chips.
I prefer to sell these as a set; however, I may be open to selling them in pairs. In that case, the price is $5 per plate for the nicer four; $4 per plate for the other two.
Note: Insurance optional but highly recommended. First-class International Mail is not available with insurance to all international destinations. If you are located outside the U.S., you MUST e-mail me prior to ordering; these may need to be shipped via USPS Priority Mail International so that they can be insured. We are NOT, under any circumstance, responsible for loss or damage in transit if you choose to not insure your order!!
