Stunning 1950's dress would be fabulous for a wedding, especially with its matching lace bolero worn for the ceremony, tossed off for the reception. Fashioned of pink lace and tulle over pink taffeta, it epitomizes the mid-50’s glamour look, yet is always in style. Strapless floral-lace bodice features a double topline with ruffled layer of tulle in the middle, boning for support, fitted waistline. Skirt has two layers of full, crisp tulle netting. Entire dress is lined in lightweight taffeta (probably rayon). Ballerina or tea length, not floor length. (Shown over a full crinoline, not included.) Color is a bit "pinker" than shown in photos, soft but not quite as pale as shown.

Dresses is NOT commercially made. Its former owner must have been a professional seamstress or an accomplished home sewer, as these are all rendered very professionally. Or, she may have had a professional dressmaker make it. So, there are/were no labels present in this dress.

Looks possibly unworn. I see no signs of actual wear, but it had been stored for quite some time and needed steaming and freshening, which I’ve done. I would not recommend cleaning, but would have it professionally steamed.

Appears to to be size extra small/small A near-perfect fit for my mannequin, who measures approx. 33 1/2″ bust, 23 1/2″ waist, 34 1/2″ hip—about a size 4.
