Being offered is a classy vintage Crown Trifari rhinestone necklace and matching clip on earring set called Queen of Hearts, patent nos. 152358 & 152359 dated 1/11/49. This timeless beauty is designed with ornate dainty hearts & clear chaton rhinestones that accent the choker necklace all the way around. An endless row of hearts, how charming and amazingly beautiful! The necklace measures approximately 14 1/2" not including the fold over clasp, which is hidden in the design and is in good tight working order. The earrings measure approximately 3/4" in length by 1/2" in width. All pieces are signed with the crown, Trifari & Pat Pen. This set is in excellent vintage condition, the gold tone metal has no visible wear & the rhinestones shine beautifully. This set is featured in the reference book "The Best of Costume Jewelry by Nancy Schiffer on page 117. I also have a copy of a magazine ad that I obtained from a wonderful jewelry friend, which shows this lovely necklace & earring set adorning the beautiful actress Jane Powell. I will gladly share a copy of the ad with the purchaser.
