Circa 1940's China Cobalt Blue Enameled Bead Necklace

This spectacular necklace is from China, the later 1940's often brought to the U.S. by soldiers after the war, WWII and, It is so different from the cloisonne enameled beads that you often run across. This necklace features unique & beautiful cobalt blue enameled beads and what appear to be California Plasma Agate beads, either that, or glass. The plasma agate looks very much like swirling glass, so it's hard to tell if they are actually agate or glass and you may wish to have that ascertained. At any rate they are fabulous. The necklace measures 24" not including the fancy filigree push style box clasp which is marked Made in China & Silver. There are some minor nicks to some of the enamel from age and/or useage, other than that all is well with no problems that I have detected, clasp in good tight working order. This has to be one of the hardest necklaces to photograph, but I believe I have captured the true essence of the beads.
