Antique French Sterling Silver & Mother of Pearl Flatware Service

A twelve piece French sterling silver flatware set including four knives with Mother of Pearl Handles. The service for four includes four spoons, forks, and knives. The flatware is marked for Henin(& Cie (successeur de Hénin et Vivier , late 19th. Century and with the Minerve 1st. Titre mark denoting .950 sterling . Rococo design with a flowing script monogram, the spoons and forks are adorned with flowers on the front and back.

The dessert or first course size service measures; spoons 7 1/8”, forks just a tad over 7”, and the knives are 7 7/8” long. The mother of pearl is in good condition; I find no chips or cracks. The silver ferrule and tips of the knives are also in good condition and are tight, the blades are not sterling. The spoons and forks are in good condition showing normal wear for antique silver, with one fork showing a few more scratches than the others. The tines show marks as expected for silver used for dining. These could be polished out if desired.
