A pair of menu/card holders in original presentation box, Circa 1930 Hermès from the famous Parisian store known for its luxury goods and lifestyle accessories. The menu holders are in the form of horse shoes with twisted rope fronts. The design with an equestrian theme, a theme that is well represented in the Hermès line, adds a distinctive touch to any table setting. Since the beginning in 1837, as a saddle shop of Thiery Hermès in Paris to the present, the company has been known for quality workmanship.
The pair work equally as well as place cards holders or business card holders.
They are marked for Hermès, the French export mark~ 1st. Titre~ used after 1878 (Tardy's pg. 205), and a maker's mark that I am still researching. It appears to be CP or GP. Both the export mark and maker's mark have been difficult to photograph clearly.
Condition; good to very good, surfaces scratches in accordance with age and use.
