Victorian English Sterling Silver Pair of Salt Cellars in a Classic Oval Pedestal or Boat Shape with Gadrooning around the edges and Loop Handles. I have just returned from England with several sets of Salt Cellars. This set is in pristine condition for their age. The gilt wash is in fine condition. The pair are marked for Sheffield (crown) the year 1891, the maker's mark HH. Measurements from the end of each handle are: 5 inches or 12.7cm and 2 3/4 inches or 7cm. tall. Beautifully Classic this pair is not to be missed on any dining table! Pedestal Base, handles, and sides are blemish free; one small ding on an edge.
