Antique Carlsbad Porcelain Fish Platter done in a Transfer Pattern with Hand-painted Details and Gold Edging. Grand in size, the platter measures 19 1/2 inches, large enough for the biggest catch of the day with room to spare. Vibrant colors were used for the two main characters, the fish, and warm colors were used for the shells and other sea life. Sprays of pink roses accentuate the platter along with raised flowers edged in gold at each end. Crisp white background will blend with numerous china patterns. Marked for Marx & Gutherz, Carlsbad, Austria, circa 1900. In good condition; some loss of gold trim on edges and one small rub on bottom edge
