Stunning Set of Three Antique French Silk Fragments with Gold Wire Embroidery. From the South of France; however, I feel they must have resided in Paris at some time. The rich color along with the gold embroidery say Paris more than Provence. Whether these fragments/ remnants came from vestments or curtains...they are ready for a new life. Surrounded by gold frames, they are small works of art. Placed under glass tops on decorative tables they add your own unique personality to your home. Dating to late 1800's-early 1900's. Measurements: 7 1/2" long by 6" at widest point. Condition: Good, silk fabric has worn areas, metallic thread, is in good condition. One fragment shows more wear.
