The Delicate Pink Flowers on these Butter Pats blend with so many Limoges/Haviland Patterns. There is a full set of 12. Butter Pats were made by Limoges, Haviland, Spode, and many other fine companies. During the late 1800's (1880-1910) they were most fashionable and part of the Victorian dining experience. As the Victorian and
Edwardian Era came to a close, dining became less formal. Many companies eliminated butter pats from their production. Today, very few porcelain or pottery companies make butter pats.
They bear green underglaze Mark #5 (M.F. Gaston), for Bawo & Dotter or Elite Works, mark was used after 1900. Also overglaze red mark. In very good condition; no chips or cracks. Size-3 inches
