Happy Independence Day!! More items to list from my last "hunt". Ask me about flexible lay-a-ways plans
A Victorian Era Mother of Pearl Handle Corkscrew along with two other dressing table tools. These three pieces were probably part of a ladies sewing or manicure set. Corkscrews were used to open bottles of perfume, medicine, and even ink bottles. Somehow, it seems more romantic to envision a lady using the dainty Mother of Pearl handled corkscrew to open her perfume. All three pieces, the corkscrew, hook, and a nail tool are topped with carved Mother of Pearl. They measure 3 3/4 inches long to 3 inches long. The only items to note are, slight browning on the edge of the Mother of Pearl on the hook and the Pearl top on the pick has some movement. The Pearl top on the corkscrew and hook are tight.
