Antique Limoges Game Plate with two quails and an ornate wide gold rim. Muted shades of browns and soft golds with touches of blue. Hand-painted by De Nerval and double marked. Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman, decorating overglaze mark and also underglaze green mark, Limoges mark with star, for Latrille Freres (Kovel's pg. 153g). Measurements, 9 1/2 inches with a one inch ornate gold border. This handsome plate displays well, but please note: a few surface scratches, loss of glaze in two places on front, and surface chip on back edge.
