Romantic Design Mulberry Staffordshire Tea Bowl and Saucer. This set bears the mark for T. Goodfellow, a Tunstall Pottery operating from 1828-1857. The pattern which is Alleghany; features gardens, garden structures, water, and Victorian visitors including their dog. The Romantic design continues around the edges with more garden scenes and flowers. The saucer measures 6 inches and is very good condition with; minor crazing, some discoloration, a few rough areas on edge, and a line through the glaze on the back side. The tea bowl or cup is 3 1/4 inches by 3 inches tall and is in very good condition with only age discoloration and crazing in accordance with age. The set is between 150-170 years old; I feel it has weathered time well.
